Dan Balassone, LCSW
Dan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. He has experience treating individuals of all ages, and specializes in anxiety and depression, panic disorder, career transition/workplace issues, stress and anger management, and OCD.
Dan provides a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment for clients to explore their life concerns and issues. He believes that each client is unique, and there is no one size fits all treatment plan when it comes to therapy. He utilizes multiple therapeutic modalities including mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, logotherapy, family systems therapy, and more depending on the individual’s needs.
Dan currently works as a school social worker, where he provides counseling and support services to students and their families. He previously worked at Imagine, a Center for Coping with Loss, supporting children and their families through times of bereavement and loss. He also has experience counseling elderly individuals and their caregivers, mentoring at-risk youth, and working with business executives and entrepreneurs.
Dan is available all day on Wednesdays, and throughout the week for afternoon and evening appointments.
