Jessica Cordeiro, LMFT
Jessica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with over seven years of experience in the mental health field. She graduated with a Master’s of Arts in Psychology and a Professional Diploma in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kean University.
Jessica has worked in partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programs (High Focus
Centers) for both mental health and substance abuse. She has experience working with the adolescent
and adult populations, dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar, addiction, personality disorders, and
psychosis, to name a few. She has facilitated groups, such as; communication skills, anger management,
relationships, self-awareness, self-esteem, as well as relapse prevention. Jessica has facilitated family
support groups for family members affected by addictions. Jessica also enjoys working with the entire
family to resolve personal conflicts within the family system. Treatment modalities include Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Client-Centered
Therapy and Solution Focused and Family Systems.
Jessica utilizes a calm, caring, nonjudgmental approach while implementing humor and, when
necessary, a firm and assertive stance. In her work thus far, she has been able to empower her clients
into making significant life changes and assists them in building a strong foundation when dealing with
life’s struggles.
Jessica is married, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, and is available during evening and weekend
hours.
